Sinn Fein Leader, Mary Lou McDonald is the favourite to become Taoiseach after the next General Election and Paddy Power offer the best odds of 8/13 (A £10 stake returns £16.15). Some bookies are offering just 1/3 so again, similar to the Next Irish General Election Most Seats betting market, the bookies seem quite divided.
The current Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar is as high as 11/2 with William Hill to remain in post after the next election but as low as 7/2 with Sky Bet. The Fianna Fail leader, Micheal Martin is a best priced 12/1 with Bet365 but as low as 7/2 with William Hill!
Simon Coveney rounds off our top four in the betting and his best odds of 14/1 can be found at Paddy Power but many have him around the 13/2 - 7/1 mark. Many others available at odds of 25/1 or higher.
