The results of the 2024 Legislative Elections has left France with a hung Parliament. Early gains by National Rally in the first round of voting prompted an alliance by left wing parties which resulted in a disappointing results for National Rally in the second round. Despite this they still ended up winning a total of 125 seats and this makes them the largest party in the National Assembly.
The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal has resigned and President Macron must choose a successor which normally comes from the largest party in the National Assembly....
National Rally were 1/50 odds on favourites to win the most seats in the Legislative Elections and odds of 10/11 were on offer for them to win Under 258 seats, although the bookies were predicting they would win considerably more.

The 2027 French Presidential Election is some time away but following the Legislative Elections, the odds on Marine Le Pen becoming the next President of France have started to shorten. The first round of the 2027 French presidential election is scheduled to be held on 11 and 25 April 2027.

Who will win the France Presidential Election? Smarkets are the only bookie offering this betting market at present which is not surprising as it is over three years away!

Exchange Best Odds - Édouard Philippe was the early favourite but following the European Elections in June 2024, Marine Le Pen's odds shortened to 3.3 and following the 2024 Legislative Elections her odds have shortened further still to 3.05 (A £10 stake returns a profit of £20.50 and after 2% commission returns £30.09).
The remaining odds have remained unchanged following the results of the 2024 Legislative Elections. Édouard Philippe is now the second favourite but not far behind on odds of 3.5 (A £10 stake returns a profit of £25 and after 2% commission returns £34.50).
At this early stage of the betting market, the four other candidates are all on offer at odds of 8.0.
BettingOnPolitics.co.uk Prediction - I predict none of the above will become the next President of France and instead I suggest Gabriel Attal, who was appointed as French Prime Minister in January 2024 by Emmanuel Macron. He's a popular politician who looks to many as a likely successor to Emmanuel Macron so watch out for his odds when Smarkets and others start pricing him in to the equation.
