Which country will be the next to leave the European Union? Unibet and BetUK are the only two bookies offering this market but have restricted their question to Next Country to Leave the EU Before 31st December 2025. They quote odds for all EU countries but we'll concentrate on the top seven selections:-
- No country to leave the EU before 31st December 2025
- Italy
- Greece
- Austria
- Czech Republic
- Poland
- Hungary
Sportsbook Best Odds - No country to leave the EU before 31st December 2025 is the overwhelming favourite in this market and is priced up at 1/7 (A £10 stake returns £11.50). Italy come next at 8/1, Greece at 10/1 and then a host of countries are available at 14/1, Austria, Czech Republic and Poland. Hungary are available at 17/1 and France head the others at 20/1 or higher.
Exchange Best Odds - Smarkets have this market set up but there seems to be so little interest in it that the odds at Unibet and BetUK are far superior.
BettingOnPolitics.co.uk Prediction - It now seems highly likely that no country will leave the EU before 31st December 2025. Unless something really dramatic happens, it would take so long for a country to agree on a referendum, win the referendum and then choose the date that it's not likely to happen now before the end of next year. The UK's Brexit referendum was on 23rd June 2016 and the UK didn't leave the EU till 31st January 2020.
